Wood Burl and Artist Conks

From the hills of North Central Pennsylvania or better known as the PA Wilds, we harvest and use "Nature's Unique Creations".
These creations come in many forms.  Our specialty is Burl Wood.  We find Maple, Cherry, Apple, and Birch Burl wood is very unique in its design.  We harvest the burl wood before it gets to the firewood pile for crafters to use in many wood projects.  Each burl has a different design.  No two are the same. 

Burl wood is used by wood turners to make beautiful vases and bowls.  If you are just beginning in the turning or carving of wood, you must try a burl.  Burl is also cut down to make key fobs, knife scales, game call boxes, gun handles and stocks, and guitar bodies.

Our artist conks are harvested from right here in the PA Wilds.  We harvest them, lightly clean them, and send them to you for a very unique creation.  They can be used in paintings or etchings.  Some of the natural designs already in the conk may help the artist decide what to paint or etch. 

Our Pennsylvania State Forest signs, such as "Tioga State Forest", will remind you of the many acres of State Forest land that exists for our enjoyment.  Driving through the Pennsylvania Forests is a real treat at all times of the year.
